RUSSIAN FABERGE SILVER ENAMEL RUBY ICON PENDANT - An antique late 19th to early 20th-century Russian silver icon pendant. The rectangular piece represents an icon of Kazan Mother of God with Baby Jesus decorated with polychrome champleve enamel and hand-painted details. The icon is encompassed with repousse ornaments and two ruby cabochons with gold fittings on the sides. The reverse bears a prayer to the Mother of God. Hinged triangular suspension ring. Hallmark of 88 silver standard and makers mark KF is on the bottom of the piece. Weight: 68 grams. KF stands for Karl or Carl Faberge, a prominent Russian jeweler best known for the famous Faberge eggs.
