KONSTANTIN KUZNETSOV RUSSIAN OIL PAINTING 1968
Konstantin Konstantinovich Kuznetsov, Russian, 1895 to 1980, an oil on canvas painting Country Village Scene, 1968. Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower left. Framed. Stamped by Aaron Bros co. on verso. Konstantin Kuznetsov has very high Sothebys auction records selling $8000 - 35.000. Note: Konstantin Konstantinovich Kuznetsov arrived in Los Angeles from Russia in 1948. His illustrations and paintings, influenced by Ilya Repins historical paintings and Belinins fairy-tale folk style, quickly found favor with the Russian community. In the 1950s, Kuznetsov met the Russian-born Sonia Colefax, who was quickly captivated by his style of painting, particularly his detailed, idealized works of Russias past. Colefax eventually commissioned and purchased 56 of Kuznetsovs works, including the present lot. One of a kind artwork. European Fine Art And Wall Decor Collectibles.
