An original poster for the 1956 epic historical drama film War and Peace. Color lithograph on paper glued on canvas base. Published by Paramount PIcutres in the US, 1956. Numbered 56 out of 152 in the lower right. The movie based on Leo Tolstoys 1869 novel was directed and co-written by King Vidor and produced by Dino De Laurentiis and Carlo Ponti for Paramount Pictures. The film stars Audrey Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Mel Ferrer, Oskar Homolka, Anita Ekberg. The musical score was composed by Nino Rota and conducted by Franco Ferrara.
