A fine Chinese hand carved hardwood brush pot, Qing Dynasty, 19th century. Of tapered cylindrical shape, carved evenly with motifs depicting a chilong mythical hornless dragon in low relief. A superb example of the vessels used to hold the brushes used by scribes for Chinese calligraphy. Unmarked. Asian Desk Accessories And Antique Brush Pots For Collectors.
