An exquisite mid 19th century Napoleon III Oriental ink stand decorated with intricate champleve enamel motifs depicting palmettes, boteh leaves and scrolled foliage on a cobalt blue or terracotta ground. Comprises a glass inkwell insert. Stamped to the bottom: A, Vignes y Cia Buenos Aires, an importer seal.
