A black and white photograph depicting a full length portrait of Dame Clara Butt. The photo is framed together with her autograph, a Christmas card for Robert Kennerley Rumford dated 1898. Dame Clara Ellen Butt, 1872 to 1936, was an English dramatic contralto and one of the most popular singers from the 1890s through to the 1920s. Later in her career she frequently appeared in recitals together with her husband, the baritone Kennerley Rumford, who married her in 1900. White mat, golden frame.
