A collection of four antique Sungott Art Studios NY hand colored engravings, after the antique artworks with views of old English castles by Joseph Nash. Includes: Bay Window, In Hall, Bramhall, Cheshire; Terrace, Bramshill, Hants; Principal Staircase, Hatfield, Herts; Gallery Over the Hall, Knowle, Kent. Joseph Nash, 1809 to 1878, was an English watercolor painter and lithographer, specializing in historical buildings. His major work was the 4-volume Mansions of England in the Olden Time, published from 1839–49. All four artworks are accented with gilding and framed in the same style.The paper labels attached to the back reads: This fine Original Antique Engraving has been hand colored with the same skill as would an artist painting a masterpiece, rarely obtainable, it increases in value with age, Sungott Art Studios New York.
