VINTAGE INDIAN SILVER PLATED TOBACCO HOOKAH
A vintage Indian silver plated hookah for vaporizing and then smoking tobacco. Finely decorated with chiseled ornamentations, the upper lidded bowl features a pierced lid. On a massive cone stand. The concept of hookah is thought to have originated in medieval India. Once the province of the wealthy, it was tremendously popular especially during Mughal rule. Circa the mid 20th century.
