ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ENAMEL FINIFT ICON RESURRECTION - An antique 19th century Russian Orthodox enamel finift icon. The icon consists of 13 hand-painted enamel plaques set in a carved wooden frame. The largest central plaque depicts the Resurrection of Jesus. Twelve smaller plaques representing the Twelve Great Feasts of the Orthodox Church encompass the central composition. Each plaque is titled in Church Slavonic in the upper part. Finift is a traditional Russian art of enamel painting. Antique Russian Religious Items and Collectibles. Dimensions: 14 1/2 x 12 3/8 in.
