Oil on canvas painting by Nahum Tschacbasov, also known as Nahum Lichter, 1899 to 1984, a Russian-born American artist, a member of a New York-based expressionist art group The Ten. The artwork represents a portrait of an old woman smoking a pipe. Signed by the artist and dated 1937 in the lower right. A biographical reference is attached to the backside. Wooden frame decorated with canvas. Mid Century Modernist Art For Collectors.
