TOMMASO MERCANDETTI BRONZE MEDAL OF LUIGI GALVANI
Luigi Galvani, 1737 to 1798, Italian physician, physicist, biologist and philosopher, pioneer of bioelectromagnetics, and bioelectricity, bronze medal by Tommaso Mercandetti, 1888, on the centenary of the discovery of galvanism. The obverse features a draped bust right, in profile, ALOYSIVS GALVANVS.
