The porringer is adorned with a French medal, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette Birth of Dauphin by Pierre Simon Benjamin Duvivier; two profile bust portraits of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette looking to proper right, surrounded by legend, on the obverse; and an image of seated woman, France, at center with French shield at feet, the Dauphin holding a baby in her arms, on the reverse.
