ANTIQUE FRENCH ENGRAVED SILVER POT BY CHRISTOFLE
An antique late 19th to early 20th-century silver-covered tureen or pot by Christofle. The piece is fully covered with oriental engraved ornaments in the Islamic style. The lid is hand-painted and has a geometrical Art Deco knob. Presumably made for the Middle Eastern market. Hallmark 388178 is underneath one of the handles. Hallmark with scales, 33, Christofle is on the bottom. Christofle is a French home accessories manufacturer established in 1830. Collectible Silverware Tableware Serveware.
Dimensions: H 5 5/8 in, D 6 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Antique condition. Signs of wear and age. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
