Color lithograph print depicting two sailing boats, Constellation and Sovereign, on the backdrop of a US East Coast sea map, Martha's Vineyard to Block Island. Titled America's Cup, 19th Challenge, Newport and dated September 17, 1964 in the lower right. Signed LeRoy Neiman in pencil in the lower right. LeRoy Neiman, 1921-2012, was an American artist known for his depictions of athletes, musicians, and sporting events. The 1964 America's Cup was held at Newport, Rhode Island. The US defender, Constellation, skippered by Eric Ridder, defeated the British challenger, Sovereign, skippered by Paul Anderson, in a four-race sweep. White mat, wooden frame.
