VINTAGE JUDAICA STERLING SILVER SPICE TOWER - A sterling silver spice tower with a flag on the lid and circular ornaments. Hallmark 925 Sterling is on the bottom of the foot. Weight: 89.8 grams. Spice tower is a special container for spices and herbs used by the Jewish people on Shabbath and other religious holidays. Since the 16th century this type of box was usually executed in the form of a tower or a house, hence the name of the item. Collectible Judaica Silverware, Rare Vintage Tableware.
