ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SILVER ICON SERGIUS OF RADONEZH - An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon representing Saint Sergiy Radonezhsky, one of the most celebrated saints of the Orhodox church. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon is covered with a silver riza or oklad, a protecting case with repousse work.
