GERMAN KPM PORCELAIN PLATE AFTER BOUGUEREAU
Antique German KPM style hand-painted porcelain plaque, Whispers of Love, after the original oil painting on canvas by William Adolphe Bouguereau, French, 1825 to 1905. Inscribed and impressed number 324 on the back. Framed. Circa: 19th century. William Adolphe Bouguereau was a French academic painter. In his realistic genre paintings, he used mythological themes, making modern interpretations of classical subjects, with an emphasis on the female human body.
