MID CENTURY AMERICAN PAINTING BY REGONE PIERRAKOS
Regone Pierrakos, American, 1924 to 2005, oil on canvas landscape painting. Signed lower left. Regone Pierrakos studied at Hunter College and Columbia University from which she earned a degree in art history. She did work as a commercial artist but began painting landscapes depicting scenes from her world travels. Pierrakos traveled in Greece, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Germany, and the West Indies.
