ANTIQUE DUTCH PETRUS REGOUT PORCELAIN OVAL TRAY
Antique Dutch Petrus Regout Maastricht porcelain oval tray decorated with a Timor pattern in the chinoiserie style featuring a transfer pattern with hand decorated bright accents and luster. The tray shows the scene in the garden from Chinese Romance of the Western Chamber, also translated as The Story of the Western Wing, one of the most famous Chinese dramatic works written by the Yuan dynasty playwright Wang Shifu and known as the most popular love comedy in China.
