RUSSIAN LITHOGRAPH OF MONKEY BY GAVRIIL GLIKMAN
Gavriil Glikman (Gabriel Glikmann), a lithograph print depicting a monkey holding a head of a statue, 1970. Signed and dated in pencil by the artist lower right. Gavriil Davidovich Glikman, 1913 to 2003, was a Russian artist and sculptor who emigrated from the USSR in 1980. The brother of the professor of the Leningrad Conservatory Isaac Glikman.Provenance: Anna Feltsman Estate. Provenance: Anna Feltsman Estate. Feltsman family: Oscar Feltsman, 1921 to 2013, was a Russian composer of Jewish descent born in Odessa. He was the father of Vladimir Feltsman, born in 1952 a Russian-American classical pianist. Anna Feltsman was the first wife of Vladimir Feltsman. Vladimir purchased art directly from the artist.
