RUSSIAN GILT SILVER AND NIELLO TEA GLASS HOLDER
A Russian gilt silver and niello pierced tea glass holder, or podstakannik in Russian, with a reticulated body and an angular handle. Stands upon a raised stepped wide round form base and holds the engraved initials of the owner to the body. With a decorated crystal cut glass inside. Marked with 875 Soviet silver proof and manufacturer marks. Total weight without glass: 96 g. Russian Soviet Silver Drinkware Collectibles.
