AMERICAN ARTIST PROOF ETCHING BY AIDA WHEDON
Aida Whedon, American, 1915 to 1993, original etching on paper depicting a landscape in the Modern style. Signed in pencil lower right. Inscribed in pencil, Artist Proof, lower left. Framed. Aida Whedon was an American painter, etcher, and teacher. The artist studied at the Art Students League with Thomas Hart Benton and Hans Hoffman from 1933 to 1938 and with Ruth Leaf at the New School of Social Research from 1975 to 1980. She worked and taught at Whedon Art Center in Port Washington from 1945. Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
