Navy hardcover with holes and ropes. Printed at Boston, by I. Thomas and E. T. Andrews, 1790. Dedicated by Lavater to Henry Fuseli, the translator. Engraver: Cornelius Tiebout, c. 1773 to 1832. Language: English. Ex libris of Columbia University in the City of New York Library with a stamp inside. An original stamp of Phithologian Society 1806. Signed and numbered with a stamp 60591 inside. Johann Caspar Lavater was a Swiss writer, theologian and poet who wrote in German, laid the foundations of criminal anthropology.
