SPANISH PRINT BOARD MUSICIANS AFTER PABLO PICASSO
A vintage reproduction, print on board, Three Musicians, after Pablo Picasso, Spanish, 1881 to 1973, the original oil painting on canvas, 1921. The Three Musicians is a Synthetic Cubist painting by Pablo Picasso. The painting depicts the characters of the commedia dellarte. On the left, at the table, sits Pierrot in a mask. He plays the clarinet. In the center is a Harlequin playing the guitar. On the right is a singing monk in a black hood. The monk holds notes in his hands. It is believed that in this work the artist depicted his friends and himself. Pablo Picasso, regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, is known for co founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.
