ANTIQUE RUSSIAN GARDNER PORCELAIN TEA PAIR, 19 C - An elegant pair of antique Russian Empire porcelain teacups with saucers, Gardner Factory, Verbilki. The set is painted in sky blue and decorated with a gilded band of foliate and geometrical ornament, cups featuring gilded handles. All items are marked with a red overglazed factory mark inscribed in the Cyrillic: Gardner in Moscow, under the Imperial double-headed eagle. The mark corresponds to the period from 1870 to 1890s. The famous Gardner factory was considered the best porcelain enterprise of the Russian Empire. Dimensions: D 5 1/2 in. H 3 1/8 in. All measurements are approximate.
