TRAMP ART MIRROR IN CROWN OF THORNS WOODEN FRAME
Antique large mirror in a three-dimensional frame that consists of stacked and fitted hand cut wood thorn elements. This technique is called Crown of Thorns referring to the New Testament. This method of woodworking is characterist for Tramp art, a style which emerged in America in the latter half of the 19th century and was prominent till the 1920s when cheap or available wood was reclamed by common people for handicraft purposes.
