Large format Mixed media painting depicting an abstract human head. Blue color palette. Signed, titled Masked Benin, and dated 2004 on the backside. White wooden frame. Eleanor Burnette, 1944-2020, Afro American female artist. After graduating from Chicago State University in 1976, the artist moved to Princeton where she studied under the guidance of Chaim Gross. Burnette experimented with different techniques and participated in numerous exhibitions including events at Virginia Lynch Gallery in Tiverton, Carrier Fine Art Festival, UFA Gallery, and others.
