Bert Stern, American, 1929 to 2013, serigraph portraits of Marilyn Monroe in the pop art style from the Last Sitting series. The photo shoot was commissioned by Vogue magazine in late June 1962, taking place over three daily sessions, just six weeks before she died. Double sided paper print. Signed and numbered on one side. Bert Stern was a New York fashion photographer specializing in celebrity portraits. During his career, he photographed Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Romy Schneider, Alain Delon, Catherine Deneuve, Madonna, Kate Moss, and more.
