OIL PAINTING ATTR. MARK STERLING, RUSSIAN, FRENCH - An oil on board painting depicting a composition with an animal skull, attributed to Mark Sterling, Russian, French, 1897 to 1976. Unframed, signed in Latin lower right. One of a kind artwork. Provenance: Arus Auctions, 08.31.2014; Massachusetts private collection of Russian art. Marc Sterling studied at the Odessa Art College and then continued his education at the VKhUTEMAS, studying under Vladimir Tatlin. He immigrated from Russia to France in 1923.
