RUSSIAN ABSTRACT PAINTING ATTR ANTONINA SOFRONOVA - A watercolor on paper abstract painting depicting colored stripes columns broken by black lines, attributed to Antonina Sofronova, Russian, Soviet, 1892 to 1966. Signed lower right with the Cyrillic initials: AFS. Housed in a thin metal frame, not examined out of frame. Antonina Fedorovna Sofronova was a Soviet artist, painter, graphic artist, landscape painter, watercolorist, one of the most famous artists of the 20th century. She studied at the art school of F.I. Rerberg and the studio of I. I. Mashkov in Moscow. Participated in exhibitions of associations Bubnovy Valet and Mir Iskusstva.
