RUSSIAN WEDDING SILVER ICONS MOTHER OF GOD CHRIST
An antique pair of Russian Orthodox Wedding hand painted icons of The Kazan Mother of God and the Lord Almighty, Savior Jesus Christ. Mixed media paintings: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. Each icon feature an embossed gilt silver riza, oklad and contained in an ornate carved gilt lined kiot. Circa: 19th century. Marked with a Silver standard hallmark and other Assay and Cyrillic marks. Antique Russian Religious Items and Collectibles.
Dimensions: Frame 20" x 23 1/4" in. Each icon is 8 3/4" x 6 7/8" in. All measurements are approximate.
