A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN PLATE WITH IMPERIAL EAGLE
Large antique Russian hand-painted plate, Imperial porcelain manufactory, St. Petersburg, Russia, circa 1780. The rich crimson border is adorned with a gilded pattern of intertwining foliage. The center is painted with a shield with an imperial double-headed eagle. On the reverse side, there is a blue underglaze stamp with the monogram of Empress Catherine the Great.
