AN ANTIQUE JAPANESE NETSUKE 19TH CENTURY
Amazing Japanese signed netsuke from the late Edo period. Depicting two Oni with an okame mask. The larger Oni carries a staff, the smaller Oni stands on his back and holds the staff with one hand, and the mask with the other. The hieroglyphic signature is carved at the bottom, holes for the cord are made in the back of the large Oni. Circa: the 19th century.
