A RUSSIAN KARELIAN BIRCHWOOD BOX EARLY 20TH C - An early 20th-century Russian jewelry box made of polished Karelian birchwood. Decorated with metal covers on the lid, around the keyhole, and on the sides. Mounted on four rounded legs. There are small cracks that have appeared as a result of the drying out of the wood. Dimensions: H: 3 in. (7.6 cm.) L: 6 1/4 in. (15.9 cm.) W: 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.)
