AN ANTIQUE COLORED LITHOGRAPH CIRCA 1846 - A 19th-century colored lithograph, The Good Tree or Hieroglyphics of a Christian. A trunk labeled ”Hope” and ”Love” growing from a soil marked with words ”Faith” and ”Repentance.” The tree bears fruit labeled with various Christian virtues. Above the tree, the word ”Grace” appears. Two angels are depicted at the foot of the tree: one drives away a demon with an ax, the other pours the tree from a watering can. Circa 1846.
