A linocut for the epic song "Slovo o polku Igoreve" ["The Word to the Honour of Prince's Ihor Regiment"].Below the signature in three languages: Ukrainian, English and French: "...The sun light up the heavens - Prince Igor is in the Russian land! ..." Vasily Ivanovich Lopata (born in 1941) - Ukrainian artist and writer. People's Artist of Ukraine (2001). The artist’s works are kept by the National Museum in Kiev, the museums of Chernihiv, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy. Some of the works are stored in the Library of Congress in Washington, in the Ukrainian Museum of New York, the Museum at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Rome, in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the museum-apartment of A.S. Pushkin in St. Petersburg, in private collections in Russia, Great Britain, Canada, USA.
