A BADGE OF THE 8TH GRENADIER MOSCOW REGIMENT
A badge of 8th Grand-Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin Friedrich's Moscow Grenadier Regiment, Imperial Russian Army. Approved - 04/26/1910On a gold wreath of laurel and oak branches a white Maltese cross with a gold rim is superimposed. In the center of the cross is a shield with the Moscow coat of arms (on a red background, white St. George) under the Imperial crown. Three golden minted monograms crown the cross: Empress Catherine II and Emperors Alexander III and Nicholas II. At the lower part of the badge there is a garnet with a gold number of "100" is placed. The lower ends of the cross are connected by a golden ribbon, on which relief dates are depicted: “1790-1890”.Weight: 1.3 o., 36.9 g.
