Ovchinnikov featuring enamel overlay monogram on the lid composed of two Cyrillic letters ”NM” for grand duke Nikolai Mikhailovich (born in 1859, at Tsarskoe Selo near St. Petersburg - died in 1919 at St. Petersburg).The salt cellar features a gilt interior and is hallmarked on the lid and bottom with P.
