A RUSSIAN GILT SILVER AND ENAMEL SALT THRONE.
An Imperial Russian silver salt cellar in made by P. Ovchinnikov featuring enamel overlay monogram on the lid composed of two Cyrillic letters "NM" for grand duke Nikolai Mikhailovich (born in 1859, at Tsarskoe Selo near St. Petersburg - died in 1919 at St. Petersburg).The salt cellar features a gilt interior and is hallmarked on the lid and bottom with P. OVCHINNIKOV maker's mark, Imperial Russian 84 warrant, two Cyrillic letters "A.K." and date 1881.Weight: 5 oz., 142 gr.
