Silver cups with gilding. Hallmarks at the bottom of the largest cup: “IEC SC 2B / 1956-1967/ 925 S / EUV. ANDERSEN / DENMARK". Hallmarks at the bottom of smaller bowls: "STERLING / Sv.T 925 S / DENMARK". According to legend, Queen Margrethe I (1353-1412) was very afraid of being poisoned, so she had 7 special servants who tasted drinks before the royal meal. Since the royal lady could not touch her mouth the glass, from which the servants already drank, the court jeweler developed a glass of special design, consisting of 8 petals.Total weight: 19.6 oz, (556 g.)
