Travel Poster National Parks Our Heritage Gormire Lake. Original vintage travel poster - National Parks Our Heritage - Gormire Lake, seen here in a water colour painted by John Sell Cotman in 1803, lies at the foot of Sutton Bank in the North York Moors National Park. Today the slopes are clad with fine trees but the visitor can still enjoy, as Cotman did, the unspoiled beauty of the scene. The ten National Parks of England and Wales have been established to keep unspoiled such beautiful landscapes so that, whatever changes in our way of life the years may bring, we and our heirs may continue to enjoy our heritage of natural beauty. Prepared for the National Parks Commission by the Central Office of Information. Printed in England for HM Stationery Office by W.S Cowell LTD, Ipswich. Excellent condition.
