signed Diamond studded Russian gold necklace - Russia Faberge work master makers mark - The spectacular gold silver topped and diamond necklace is designed with 12 circular elements each one studded with 12 diamonds of various sizes. Between each circular element is a star pendant. all in all there are 12 star pendants each studded with 9 diamonds. The largest diamond which is set in the center of the necklace is approximately 1.00 ct. Total approximate ct weight is 17.00 ct. Most of the 250 diamonds are vs/si clarity with g-i colors.  stamped on the clasp wth 56 Czarist Russian gold hallmark and August Wilhelm Holmstrom initials length: 42 cm weight: 55 grams  August Wilhelm Holmström (2 October 1829 – 1903) was a Finnish silver- and goldsmith. Born in Helsinki, Finland, he became an apprentice at the workshop of jeweller Karl Herold in St. Petersburg 1845—1850 master in 1857 with his own workshop. Senior member of Fabergé's workshop, he was head jeweller and also produced parts for composite articles. He died in St. Petersburg.
