exquisite Chinese altar bone sculpture-qing dynasty - A beautifully carved sculpture of a central buddha figure carved sitting on a lotus throne with a serene expression on his face. His cloak falling naturally from his body. A finely carved ”mandorla” behind the buddha. Flanking the buddha are two Buddhas. one holding a ruyi riding on an elephant with its trunk raised high. The other holding a lotus flower riding on a foo dog.  A custom made wooden base has been stylistically carved to match the beauty of the sculpture  29cm*36cm
