Rare Japanese Group Sculpture, Bone and Wood, Meiji Dynasty - Wood integrated bone sculpture, hand crafted carving, depicting the figure of Bodhisattva and Oni imps. One can see Bodhisattva holding in his hand a carving instrument while carving a wooden image of Oni, with the back of the figure designed in the shape of a sack. The wooden Oni figure is set with seashell on its eyes, and Mother of Pearl-made teeth. The Bodhisattva figure has a necklace set with Mother of Pearl. Dimensions: 25X17 cm. Good\very good condition.
