KOLNER HOF (FRANKFURT) ANTI-SEMITIC POSTCARD - Ca. 1890 color postcard issued by the Kolner Hof, a hotel in Frankfurt which the owners described as ”Jew-free”. The postcard pictures the City of Frankfurt at top, labeling it as ”New-Jerusalem am Main” as a reference to the number of Jews living there. Beneath is an image of the hotel's facade and its pitch: ”Christian-German House”. At left appears a ragged, unkempt ”Jew” who recoils in horror, exclaiming in Yiddish: ”Waih geschriehen!” Worn at edges a bit, else very good.
