HUNGARIAN JEWISH SCHOOL HAT BADGE - Very fine and large Hungarian Jewish school hat badge, probably from Budapest ca. 1930. The shield-shaped enamel badge measures 1.25 in. across and 1.5 in. tall, displaying a menorah with the initials ”M. B.” on a blue field with gold filigree at its edge and white border. The badge bears a 2” pin. It was common at the time for gymnasium students to wear such badges, usually on school uniform hats. Fine.
