SHERIDAN'S CAVALRY CORPS HAT BADGE - Rare hat badge belonging to a member of Philip Sheridan's cavalry corps, approx. 2.75 x 2 in., brass construction, showing crossed sabers superimposed over a sunburst with a red enamel oval at center. Two straight pins soldered on the reverse, with no catches present. Very slight surface wear, else fine condition. From an expansive grouping of Civil War corps badges, many of which originate from the renowned J. Duncan Campbell collection.
