PIERRE G. T. BEAUREGARD - (1818-1893) Confederate major general who initiated the attack on Fort Sumter that started the Civil War. He also led with distinction at First Bull Run, Shiloh, and in the defense of Richmond. Fine black ink signature: 'G. T. Beauregard' on a 3.75 x 1.25 white slip cut from a document. Very good, a fine example for framing.
