(NAPOLEONIC WARS) JEAN-BAPTISTE JOURDAN
(1762 - 1833) French marshal who commanded the Army of the North and the Army of Italy, defeated by Wellesley at Talavera, and shared in the huge defeat at Vitoria. Autograph endorsement signed twice, a 5 x 7 in. section cut from a promotion, 1802, not translated. Wrinkled, tipped to a larger sheet.
