(BOURBON RESTORATION) FRANCIS HUE
First Valet-de-Chambre to Louis XVIII, well-remembered for his extreme loyalties to the royal family under dire circumstances. Rare printed D.S. 'Hue' on Decoration de Lys letterhead, 1p. 4to., Paris, July 11, 1813, an award document for the Fluer-de-lis, or the Decoration of the Lily. The decoration was created after the Bourbon Restoration, and given to the national guardsmen of Paris, and later to all national guardsmen in France. Red wax seal present at lower-left. Light toning, else fine.
